During my years at ATU I was blessed with an outstanding mentor in the person of Professor Paul Lake. Paul took great care to not only guide me through my academic time at ATU, but also to befriend me and teach me about writing. When I left ATU, I left with a new appreciation of poetry and creative writing thanks to many professors at the school, but none had the influence of Paul.
Although I have only talked with him a couple of times during the years since my undergraduate work, I’ve always been quick to tell people I consider him my writing mentor and friend. In the world of writing, Paul Lake will always be one of my heroes and that is why I dedicate Poet Domain to him.
Paul, although my work does not compare to yours, I want to thank you for opening my eyes to the connection between creative minds and written words.
